JooSorb AST-02 is particularly designed for water and TBC removal from monomers such as butadiene, isoprene and styrene.
JooSorb AST-02 is a promoted spherical activated alumina adsorbent provides high water and TBC adsorption capacity. Adsorbent reactivity toward olefins is minimized.
TBC (tertiary butyl catechol) is commonly used as a polymerization inhibitor added to monomers to inhibit polymerization during storage and transportation. The removal of inhibitors is necessary prior to polymerization processes, as is the case of synthetic rubber production.

A: JooSorb AST-02 is a promoted spherical activated alumina adsorbent specifically engineered for the removal of water and TBC (tertiary butyl catechol) from monomers like butadiene, isoprene, and styrene.
A: TBC acts as a polymerization inhibitor to prevent reactions during transport and storage. However, it must be removed before the polymerization process begins, such as in synthetic rubber production, to allow proper chemical reactions.
A: It is available in two size specifications: 1.5-3.0 mm (1/16") and 2.0-5.0 mm (1/8").
A: The standard packaging options are 800 kg big bags or 150 kg steel drums, ensuring safe handling and storage.
A: JooSorb AST-02 offers an outstanding shelf lifetime of more than 5 years and performs efficiently at ambient operating temperatures.
