Silica Alumina Gel is mainly used for natural gas dewatering, light hydrocarbon adsorption and separation at variable temperatures, compressed air drying, and natural gas drying. It also serves as a catalyst or catalyst carrier in the petrochemical industry, as well as an industrial drier, liquid adsorbent, and gas separator.
Under low relative humidity (such as RH=10% or RH=20%), its adsorption capacity is comparable to fine-pored silica gel. However, under high humidity levels, its adsorption capacity is 6% to 10% higher than that of standard fine-pored silica gel.
Silica Alumina Gel is chemically stable, flame-resisting, and completely insoluble in any solvent.
Since the product operates as a desiccant, it must not be exposed to the open air. It should be kept in dry conditions and stored inside an air-proof, sealed package to preserve its adsorption effectiveness.
The standard packaging option for this product is a 25kg kraft bag.
The standard size of the gel is 2-4 mm, it has a crush strength of ≥150 N/Pcs, a surface area of 650 m²/g, a pore volume of 0.35-0.5 ml/g, and the Alumina (Al₂O₃) content is 2-5%.
